Maasa Morans Conservation & Walking Safaris (MMCWS) guides have training in birding, natural history, local culture, first aid, ethics and techniques of guiding and working with volunteers. MMCWS leaders have training in business, leadership, and project development. Fredrick Kerika Sinoni (Guide and MMCWS member) has a Diploma in Tourism and Wildlife Management and a Certificate in Tour Guiding and Administration. He completed a practicum in Nairobi National Park as a guide, worked at Kichwa Tembo as a walking safaris guide and at Maasai Mara Kichwa Tembo tented camp as a Naturalist. An avid bird watcher, reader, and explorer of nature, Kerika has been an active member of MMCWS from its inception. Kerika is dedicated to changing attitudes towards wildlife from negative to positive, and feels a responsibility to leave the wild world as we found it, or slightly better. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

Nagut K. Ruben holds a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development and a Certificate in Disaster Management and Mitigation. He is extremely active in community groups and joined MMCWS in 2013. Reuben played a key leadership role in doing village surveys prerequisite for the formation of a community-based conservancy for wildlife. He is skilled with data entry and timely communications using email, Facebook, and Word.  Reuben also coordinates giraffe monitoring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Sereny Ole Nagut is a consummate wildlife tracker and has been active in the MMCWS group since its foundation. He and his family are strong local proponents of a community-based conservancy and they hold title to one of the largest properties with native savannah suitable for preservation and are the hosting family for the Lol Konoi Campsite.
